Jubilee line embankment works to begin near Queensbury, lasting until summer 2027
"There's going to be around 18 months of work on the northern end of the Jubilee line, where it runs high up on raised embankments. A letter sent to local residents and shared by the local Councillor, Jayanti Patel, informs them that the works will start in a couple of weeks time, on 16th January 2026 and last for around 18 months, completing in summer 2027. The affected area is the raised embankment around Queensbury tube station, a couple of stop short of the line's terminus at Stanmore."
"The letter sent to local residents says that the work materials will be delivered to the trackside via a side road next to the tube station, and that Transport for London ( TfL) might need to bring large lorries in at times. TfL added that it was cooperating with Brent council to manage noise and disturbance, but the engineering works are critical to the continued safe operation of the Jubilee line."
Eighteen months of engineering works will take place on the northern end of the Jubilee line where it runs on raised embankments, starting 16 January 2026 and completing in summer 2027. The works focus on the raised embankment around Queensbury tube station, a couple of stop short of Stanmore. Work materials will be delivered to the trackside via a side road next to the station and Transport for London ( TfL) may at times use large lorries. TfL is cooperating with Brent council to manage noise and disturbance. The engineering works are critical to the continued safe operation of the Jubilee line. A similar reinforcement between Wembley Park and Kingsbury previously kept trains running apart from some weekend closures.
