I live in a Greenwich flat with a broken lift and it feels worse than prison'
Briefly

Michael Butler and his 86-year-old grandmother are struggling after their lift broke down, making it difficult for them to access essential services. Michael, who has disabilities, and his grandmother have been without a functioning lift since early April. The couple has encountered errors and delayed responses from the Greenwich Council regarding repair timelines. Despite their efforts to communicate with the council and escalate their situation, they received little assistance, exacerbating their difficulties in performing daily tasks like grocery shopping and managing health issues.
This letter was a bit more up to date, saying that it was going to be seven days for the repair, and then a couple of days later, they decided that all of a sudden, it was going to take many weeks to repair, which is shocking.
I did make a formal complaint with the council, but they've ignored that. I've also pushed the insurance side of the council as well — no joy there.
