Gardener who told gardai he was in fear when he agreed to hold nearly 90,000 of drugs jailed

"During a search of two houses in Churchtown, south Dublin in February 2022, gardaí found cannabis, cocaine and 212 packets of cannabis jellies. They found weighing scales and a passport and utility bill in the name of Luke Kavanagh (26) in one of the houses."

A 26-year-old landscape gardener named Luke Kavanagh was jailed for three years after gardaí discovered nearly €90,000 worth of drugs during searches of two houses in Churchtown, south Dublin in February 2022. The drugs seized included cannabis, cocaine, and 212 packets of cannabis jellies. Gardaí also found weighing scales and identification documents bearing Kavanagh's name at one of the properties. Kavanagh claimed to gardaí that he was in fear when he agreed to hold the drugs, though this did not prevent his conviction and sentencing.
