Bexley Council has announced changes to the bin collection schedule for the upcoming Easter bank holiday weekend. Despite Good Friday falling on April 18, typical Friday collections will proceed as normal. However, all collections in the week following the holiday will be delayed by one day. For example, bins scheduled for collection on Monday, April 21 will now be picked up on Tuesday, April 22. This shift continues through the week, with collections returning to their regular schedule by Monday, April 28.
Bexley Council has confirmed that residents who normally have their bins collected on Fridays will still have them picked up this Friday (April 18) despite it being the Good Friday bank holiday.
All collection dates in the following week have been pushed back a day to allow for the bank holiday on Monday.
Residents who are due to have their bins collected on Monday, April 21, will now have their bins collected on Tuesday, April 22.
The collection schedule will return to normal on Monday, April 28.
