Police counters are closing across London as the Met seeks to save £7m, leaving some stations unused. Park Road GP surgery opposite the former Teddington Police Station operates at about 25% of the nationally recommended space and faces accessibility and consulting-room constraints. Moving into the former police station would provide the size needed to resume medical student training, expand joined-up health services, and enable closer work with local charities and community partners. Proposed uses include affordable housing and a police front counter. The station's future depends on the MOPAC Estates Strategy and local calls exist to prioritise a community bid over private development.
