A serious fire broke out in a tower block on Leman Street, Aldgate, impacting two flats. The London Fire Brigade deployed around 100 firefighters and 15 fire engines to respond to the blaze, which ignited shortly before 5:45 PM and quickly spread from a sixth-floor flat to the seventh floor. Firefighters managed to evacuate eleven individuals safely, and while the fire was initially severe, it was contained by around 8 PM. Local residents are advised to avoid the area due to ongoing fire control efforts and road closures.
