The Who has terminated drummer Zak Starkey ahead of their upcoming farewell tour, marking his second dismissal from the band. Following his firing announced by Pete Townshend on Instagram, Starkey disputed the reasons given, clarifying that he never intended to quit the band. The decision came after a series of charity concerts that reportedly upset the band's members. Townshend noted Starkey has new projects while announcing Scott Devours as his replacement for the August tour.
