The Genesis at the Peacock Theatre - Preview
Briefly

The Genesis is a new production by Copenhagen Collective debuting in London’s West End at the Peacock Theatre from September 3-6, 2025. Prior to this, it will have its UK premiere at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. This show features 16 performers from diverse countries, emphasizing themes of unity, diversity, and human connection. It offers an immersive, 60-minute experience blending acrobatics with storytelling and physical theatre. The lighting and original score enhance the performance, creating an evocative atmosphere that supports the emotional breadth of the production.
As a long-time fan of contemporary circus, I'm always drawn to performances that combine daring physicality with emotional storytelling - shows that don't just entertain, but challenge, connect, and uplift.
The Genesis brings together 16 international performers from across the globe in a celebration of unity, diversity, and the power of human connection.
The runtime of 60 minutes takes audiences on an immersive journey through an abstract emotional landscape where performers tumble, stack, and swing through a spectrum of human experience.
Stefan Goldbaum Tarabini's lighting design creates a dreamlike world that feels at once like a mystical cathedral and an atmospheric nightclub.
