'Star Wars' will be taking over The Royal Albert Hall for a historic first next year
"'From that triumphant opening chord on the first recording session for in Anvil Studios, the Star Wars "sound" has become synonymous with the London Symphony Orchestra, which carries the DNA of John Williams's music in its blood.'"
"'What better way to celebrate this anniversary than reliving the original trilogy in full, and we look forward to sharing these momentous performances at the Royal Albert Hall.'"
In late April and early May 2026, The Royal Albert Hall will host the Star Wars Weekender, featuring live screenings of the original trilogy. The London Symphony Orchestra will perform John Williams' iconic score during the screenings. The event will begin with Episode IV: A New Hope on April 29 and conclude with Return of the Jedi on May 2. Tickets will start at £45 and go on sale on May 1. The event celebrates the enduring legacy of Star Wars music and its connection to the orchestra.
