Calvin Williams, 35, from Hammersmith, admitted to theft and burglary at the Royal Albert Hall. He initially stole approximately £13,000 worth of equipment between April and June 2025 while employed as a casual shift worker. After his dismissal, security staff failed to deactivate his access card, allowing him to return to the venue. During an appeal meeting visit, Williams discovered he could still access the storage cupboard and subsequently stole a further £31,000 worth of equipment on 8 August 2025. Police arrested him in October and recovered numerous microphones and microphone holders from his home. He was sentenced to six months' imprisonment for theft and 13 months for burglary, both suspended for 18 months, plus 150 hours unpaid work and £8,400 restitution over two years.
