Paul McCartney Talks About Origins of New Album with Actor Paul Mescal
Paul McCartney and Paul Mescal appear in an Amazon Live short film centered on an intimate conversation about memories, relationships, events, and stories that inspired and shaped The Boys of Dungeon Lane. The film brings new songs to life, including “Down South,” “Home to Us,” a duet with Ringo Starr, “Lost Horizon,” “Salesman Saint,” and “Days We Left Behind,” through revelations about McCartney’s songwriting and early memories of his parents and bandmates. The album releases Friday, May 29, and is described as his most introspective album to date, taking listeners back to where it all began. McCartney previously performed in the room where The Beatles played The Ed Sullivan Show in 1964. Mescal will portray McCartney in Sam Mendes’ Beatles biopics releasing in 2027.
