Oasis held their first Welsh concert on 2 June 1994, performing nine songs at a university venue. Prior to that, their inaugural Welsh performance occurred on 3 May at TJ's in Newport. Their debut album released on 29 August preceded various notorious events, particularly a chaotic gig at Whisky a Go Go, where Noel briefly quit the band. The intense touring schedule, consisting of 143 shows with little reprieve, contributed to mounting strain within the group during this period.
Oasis first played the Welsh capital on the Definitely Maybe tour on 2 June 1994, performing just nine songs in a small room in the university.
Their first Welsh gig, however, came a month earlier, on 3 May at TJ's in Newport.
Their debut album was released on 29 August, exactly a month before the infamous gig at Whisky a Go Go in California.
That year, the band played 143 shows and more or less only took July off, leading to stress and difficulties.
