Meet the Richmond man travelling the length of Britain - on local buses
Briefly

James White, a chartered engineer, embarked on a unique journey from Land's End to John O'Groats on April 22, planning to catch 49 buses. Each day, he spends 10 to 12 hours on the buses, with an estimated cost under £250 due to price caps. Although he has no particular interest in buses, he enjoys the discoveries along the way. Documenting his travels on Instagram, he has gained a significant following. His journey showcases his adventurous spirit and brings him through various UK cities, enjoying the experience despite the mental challenges of planning and travel.
I don't know why I am doing it. I just had the idea, planned it, and now I am here. I have no interest in buses whatsoever- I normally get the Tube to work.
With all the changes it has been quite mentally taxing- if catching a bus can be mentally taxing. England when it is sunny is one of the best places to travel.
James started planning immediately after having the idea, and continued plotting the route every night after work until he finally booked it in February.
The expedition has passed him through major cities such as Exeter, Brighton, and even Manchester, where he stayed with his parents.
