"Mandy, Indiana's great second album, URGH, is definitely an album you could call "cinematic," with its use of atmospheric soundscapes in service of their near-industrial beats. The band's guitarist and producer, Scott Fair, tells us that film was a big inspiration for the album, from the music to sound effects to visual motifs."
Mandy, Indiana's second album URGH employs cinematic qualities through atmospheric soundscapes combined with near-industrial beats. Guitarist and producer Scott Fair drew significant inspiration from five films: Alien, Eraserhead, The Craft, It's What's Inside, and You're Never Really Here. These films influenced the album's music, sound effects, and visual motifs. The album is released via Sacred Bones Records. The band will tour the UK and Europe beginning March 25 in London, with dates spanning through April 18 in Rotterdam, including stops in major cities across the UK, France, Germany, Denmark, and the Netherlands.
