London targets noisy commuters with headphone campaign
Briefly

Transport for London launched a "Headphones On" poster campaign encouraging passengers to wear headphones when watching or listening to content to reduce disruption for other commuters. Posters are already displayed on the Elizabeth line and will expand across bus, Docklands Light Railway, London Overground, London Underground, and London Tram services from October. The campaign targets people who play loud music or make calls as improved 4G and 5G coverage across the network makes streaming and calling easier. Research of 1,000 customers found 70 percent reported loud music and phone calls disrupted their journeys. The campaign builds on the earlier #TravelKind initiative.
