Kneecap received death threats after Coachella gig, says manager
Briefly

During their Coachella performance, a bilingual band delivered a powerful message on-screen accusing Israel of genocide against Palestinians and condemning U.S. support for Israel. Their manager revealed they received numerous violent threats in response. Despite potential career risks, the band stands firm in their convictions stemming from their working-class background. Their message aims to spark important conversations on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, with the manager asserting that the focus should remain on those suffering rather than perceived offensiveness of their statements.
The Irish rappers posted to X and referred to 'hundreds of violent Zionist threats'. In an interview on RTÉ Radio, the musicians' manager Daniel Lambert confirmed the band had received death threats, and that the nature of the threats would be 'too severe' to outline on air.
Mr Lambert said that suggesting the rappers' message at Coachella was offensive would be 'buying into moral hysteria' and said the real issue was the tens of thousands of people being killed by Israeli forces in Gaza.
