Indie Basement (8/8): No Joy, OSEES, Wombo, For Those I Love, more
Briefly

In August, the pace of music releases slows down before a busy September. This week features reviews of albums from No Joy, OSEES, Wombo, and For Those I Love, with No Joy's 'Bugland' receiving Album of the Week. The week also showcases notable releases from various artists including Blackbraid, Ethel Cain, and JID. The Indie Basement Classic features early '90s work from Sabres of Paradise being reissued for the first time since its original release.
Bugland is, as they say, a state of mind-in this case a liminal space where the unnatural and natural co-mingle and grow around one another.
No Joy sound more plugged in than ever-albeit via a mycelial network of sound where all influences are absorbed and made part of the shroomy forest floor.
