Iceage released their first new album in five years, For Love of Grace & the Hereafter, following the 2021 album Seek Shelter. The record was recorded last year at Silence Studio, a remote house in rural Sweden, where Iceage also recorded 2014’s Plowing into the Field of Love. The album was made with a minimal setup, aiming to capture the same energy from earlier sessions. Lyrics were written just a few weeks before entering the studio to prevent the overall picture from becoming too fragmented and to increase risk and urgency. Iceage previewed the album with singles “Star,” “Ember,” and “The Weak,” and will perform shows in London, New York City, and Los Angeles.
"More than a decade later, they looked to capture that same energy with a minimal setup and lyrics written just a few weeks before entering the studio to "prevent the overall picture from being too fragmented and to increase the sense of risk and urgency," according to a press release."
"Iceage have released their first new album in five years, the stellar For Love of Grace & the Hereafter. Marking the follow-up to their excellent 2021 album Seek Shelter, the new LP was recorded last year at Silence Studio, the same remote house in rural Sweden where they recorded 2014's Plowing into the Field of Love."
"During the run-up to its release, Iceage previewed For Love of Grace & the Hereafter with the singles "Star," "Ember," and "The Weak." They will celebrate the album with a trio of London shows over the next two days, along with two shows each at New York City's Ukrainian National Home and LA's Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever in August."
