The Disco Room at PRYZM Kingston closed for the last time early on June 28 after decades of service to local clubbers. New owners NEOS Hospitality are investing £3 million to modernize the venue while preserving its historic features. The main club area will remain open until July 12 for final events before extensive refurbishment begins. The venue has a rich history as a former cinema and has been a key part of Kingston's music scene, hosting notable artists. NEOS CEO Russell Quelch emphasizes the need to re-imagine nightlife for the next generation.
"Thousands of people have made memories that will last them a lifetime, from over 20 years of amazing nights out at PRYZM and Oceana before it."
"It's time to look to the future and re-imagine what this site could hold, in a fresh new look at nightlife for the next generation of UK party lovers."
