Haruomi Hosono, co-founder of Yellow Magic Orchestra, will release his 23rd studio album, Yours Sincerely, on September 11 through Ghostly International. The album title comes from Hosono’s effort to express omoiyari, a Japanese concept meaning to suffer together and also to rejoice together. He describes omoiyari as seemingly opposite in appearance while sharing a subtly different emotional perspective. At 78, he feels curiosity toward unknown music his new self will create while embracing the music of his former self, as if carrying two musical worlds. He will support the album with two Toro y Moi shows, including Radio City Music Hall in New York on September 16 and a second show on September 20 at the Greek.
