The M25 motorway is set to close for the last time as part of a Highway improvement project meant to enhance traffic flow and safety. The closure will occur from March 21 to March 24 to safely remove a bridge after recent upgrades at Junction 10. Significant traffic disruptions were noted during prior closures, prompting officials to advise motorists to only use the motorway if absolutely necessary and to follow official diversions. The improvement at Junction 10 aims for safer and improved entry and exit, with increased lane numbers for better traffic flow.
This closure will be the fifth and final part of the improvement project, which aims to reduce congestion, improve traffic flow, and provide safer journeys.
We are now on the home straight of this complex project and we are pleased to say this is the last time the M25 will be closed over a full weekend.
After a notable increase in traffic during the last closure, which coincided with the first sunny weekend of the year, we urge you to use alternative routes.
The junction 10 improvement scheme will see an increase in the number of lanes to make journeys safer and improve traffic flow.
