The Community Shield will take place in Cardiff on 16 August because Wembley is unavailable due to concerts by The Weeknd. The Principality Stadium has previously hosted the Community Shield and will also host the opening match of Euro 2028. Since returning to Wembley in 2007, the Community Shield has been relocated twice, once to Villa Park in 2012 and once to King Power Stadium in 2022. Crystal Palace won the 2025 Community Shield against Liverpool on penalties.
