"LaRoque stated, 'The song style is different but still from the same era. The riffs are different and the arrangements are a little less progressive and a little more straightforward.'"
"Dee remarked, 'Lex Legion is totally written the way we thought in the '80s. We wrote what we wanted, and if you liked it, that was a great bonus. If you didn't like it, that was fine with us, too!'"
"Blakk expressed, 'This is totally unique. No one is writing this kind of music and there's a big hole for us to fill. The album is a journey and every song is like the beat of a movie. I want listeners to travel back.'"
Lex Legion, formed by four members of the classic '80s King Diamond lineup, will release their self-titled debut album in June 2026. The first single, 'Sleep Eternally,' is scheduled for March 31st. The lineup features Andy LaRoque, Mikkey Dee, Pete Blakk, and Hal Patino, with Nils K. Rue on vocals. LaRoque noted the music style is different yet reminiscent of the era, while Dee emphasized the band's creative freedom. Blakk described the album as a unique journey, aiming to transport listeners back in time.
