Blackbraid releasing new EP this week - check out the new song & killer live-footage video
"Nocturnal Womb features two new songs that a press release says were "too dark and visceral to fit the story of Blackbraid III," as well as an acoustic version of the Blackbraid II song "Barefoot Ghost Dance on Blood Soaked Soil.""
"One of the two new songs is out now, "Celestial Bloodlust," and it's a complete and utter black metal rager that comes with a video filmed at a recent Stockholm show that gives you an up-close-and-personal look at how intense Blackbraid's live show is."
Blackbraid, an indigenous black metal artist from the Adirondacks, has announced the EP Nocturnal Womb releasing March 6, 2025. The three-track release includes two new songs described as excessively dark and visceral for inclusion on the recent album Blackbraid III, alongside an acoustic rendition of "Barefoot Ghost Dance on Blood Soaked Soil" from Blackbraid II. The lead single "Celestial Bloodlust" showcases intense black metal with an accompanying live performance video from a Stockholm show. The artist also recently released a two-song EP under the moniker Petrichor. Blackbraid has scheduled extensive 2026 tour dates across the UK and Ireland with Winterfylleth and Noctem, plus festival appearances throughout Europe.
