The Big East tournament, held annually at Madison Square Garden since 1980, will begin this year with a Battle of the Bands event at the Vessel in Hudson Yards on Wednesday, March 11 at 9 a.m. ET. Marching bands from St. John's, Providence, Butler, Marquette, and Creighton will perform across the Vessel's interconnected staircases and platforms in a celebration of music and school spirit. This is the second year of the Battle of the Bands tradition, following St. John's inaugural victory last year. The main tournament runs March 11-14. Complimentary tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis, with the Vessel open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
