The Aldwych tube station is set to receive a wayfinding map to improve access to local attractions. This initiative, led by the London Heritage Quarter, aims to enhance navigation while also addressing concerns about anti-social behaviour around the station. The map would be installed in front of the Bostwick gates, filling a previously under-utilized space. If approved by Westminster Council, it will launch a new Wayfinding Project that seeks to integrate with the existing legible London signage, creating a cohesive navigation strategy for the area.
The disused Aldwych tube station will receive a wayfinding map to enhance navigation to local attractions, also aiming to deter anti-social behaviour in the area.
The local business group proposes a wayfinding map for the Aldwych tube station to create a link to the region’s attractions, simultaneously targeting anti-social behaviour.
Testing a prototype in 2022, this permanent upgrade aims to revitalize the area and complement existing wayfinding signage in the city.
If Westminster Council approves the project, this wayfinding sign will mark the beginning of a broader strategy to enhance navigation and safety in the region.
