Treasure House Fair hopes to be the flagship summer event London desperately needs
Briefly

Ahead of the Treasure House Fair, Thomas Woodham-Smith expresses unexpected optimism amidst world challenges. The fair, taking place at London's Royal Hospital Chelsea, reflects a revival of interest in art exhibitions. Established in 2023 after parting with Masterpiece London, it showcases diverse artworks, with growth evident from 55 to 72 exhibitors. Emphasizing quality over quantity, the fair fosters a community spirit, encouraging participation and attendance, offering both cultural engagement and a celebratory atmosphere.
The first year was a bit ridiculous—we organised the fair from scratch in three months—but we did it with tremendous enthusiasm.
There is a sort of mood of 'let's all have a bit of a party' as exhibitors are keen and tickets are selling well.
We’ve got to the point where we’re doing things better, rather than just doing things, with the fair maintaining its growth and quality.
