The Wallington pub that went from having a bad reputation' to beloved spot
Briefly

The Rose and Crown, under new operators Rebecca Simpson and Brahim, has transformed into a vibrant community hub. They focused on enhancing the pub's atmosphere and reputation, which previously suffered. Popular features include a large garden and weekend entertainment like live music, which draws patrons. An updated food menu, including popular Sunday roasts, has also increased visitor numbers. The pub emphasizes family friendliness and food deals, contributing to its rejuvenated standing in the local area.
When we took over, The Rose and Crown had a different feel. Mainly before, it had quite a bad reputation, so we've focused on what we want and are looking for.
We have entertainment on during the weekend, so we do live music on Saturdays. On the last Friday of the month, we'll put on a live band or a DJ or do karaoke.
When we came in, the kitchen was closed, so we had to do the menu change, and people love the food. Drinks-wise, some people come in for the deals we have.
Sundays are the busiest day for food, and they've embraced that by making the pub more welcoming for families.
