London's best pub will soon stop serving one of the city's greatest pizzas
"The year wouldn't have been possible without the team behind it all, so the biggest of big ups to the talented dough hands Nunhead team. So it's bye to Nunhead and south for now! Hopefully we'll be back in the bits at some point...We are still at the Spurstowe seven days a week, plus we have a new project to announce v soon which the Nunhead team will be getting involved with."
"The Old Nun's Head is incapable of standing still. In recent years it's become south east London's favourite unofficial queer venue, thanks to an array of campy entertainment including speed-dating, drag king cabaret, and nights like Pop-Up Dyke Bar and the messy, cream-splattered and highly NSFW Cake Sit."
"Dough Hands features on our list of the best pizza in London, in which we praise the 'mega New York-style pies.. big and heartily topped behemoths, with brittle (in a good way) crispy crusts and a pleasingly oily array of toppings.'"
Dough Hands, a popular pizza pop-up, is concluding its residency at the Old Nun's Head pub in Nunhead, south London, with the final service on April 25. The operation will continue at its original location, the Spurstowe Arms in London Fields, operating seven days a week. Founder Hannah Drye expressed gratitude to the Nunhead team and hinted at an upcoming new project involving the team. The Old Nun's Head, recently named Time Out's best pub in London, has become known for hosting diverse entertainment and events. Dough Hands is recognized for its New York-style pizzas featuring crispy crusts and generous toppings.
