Warren Farm in Southall has been formally designated as a Local Nature Reserve by Ealing Council. The site supports nesting skylarks, wildflowers, butterflies, and bees. This designation followed an agreement between Ealing Council, Imperial College London, and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust regarding land use. The adjoining site will be developed into community sports facilities, primarily cricket and football pitches. The Brent River Park charity, which campaigned for the LNR status since January 2021, gathered over 26,000 petition signatures and support from local experts and conservationists. Council leadership emphasized the reserve provides essential green space for the borough while addressing health inequalities in Southall through combined nature conservation and sports facility access.
