EasyJet has announced the return of flights from Toulouse to London-Gatwick, a route that had been discontinued following the airline's hub closure in the city. Starting from October 26th, there will be two flights weekly, increasing to six during the Christmas holidays. In addition to London, flights to Marrakech will also resume, with three weekly flights planned. EasyJet's base closure in Toulouse focused on staff restructuring rather than demand issues, with plans for a total of 11 routes available this winter according to the airline's representatives.
Bruno Balerdi, head of sales at Toulouse airport, said, 'We are delighted with the reopening of lines to London-Gatwick and Marrakech, two very popular destinations for the people of Toulouse.'
EasyJet's deputy managing director for France, Reginald Otten, stated, 'We will offer a total of 11 routes, as we continue to listen to consumer demand and adapt accordingly.'
