A new permanent exhibition will soon open in secret tunnels under central London, showcasing the history of the UK's military intelligence services. Supported by the Museum of Military Intelligence, the exhibition will cover significant events including the Battle of Britain, D-Day, and Cold War espionage. Fund manager Angus Murray aims to preserve the tunnels' history while drawing parallels to iconic attractions. Visitors will engage with original artefacts and a special exhibit on the Special Operations Executive, reflecting on the crucial role military intelligence has played in national security.
The UK has long been at the forefront of military intelligence. Skills developed over centuries by thousands of brave, imaginative and determined men and women, have defended Britain and the world from those who threaten us.
The tunnels will contain a mix of permanent and temporary exhibitions, and the first of the permanent exhibitions has been confirmed as telling the history of the UK's military intelligence.
