Ceramic poppies are returning to the Tower of London to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II
Briefly

To mark the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day, the Tower of London will host an exhibition featuring 30,000 ceramic poppies from the 2014 'Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red' display. The new installation, designed by Tom Piper, will symbolize a 'wound' at the heart of the Tower, serving as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices of war. The display, which opens on May 6, 2025, will run until November 11, allowing visitors to reflect on the lasting impacts of conflict, coinciding with the-admission ticket prices for the Tower.
The installation will create striking images, reminding us of the sacrifice and loss of war, and of the long-lasting impact of conflict.
