"'We're thrilled to continue working with Hackney Council to offer its residents an accessible, affordable service.'"
"'Our flat fare applies to Hackney residents, costing £1.75, matching bus fares. We offer a wide range of concessions which non-residents travelling in the borough can take advantage of, including day, week, and month passes and our equitable access programme.'"
Hackney residents will pay a flat fee of £1.75 to use rental e-bikes within the borough, matching the cost of London buses. The capped fare applies to Lime and Voi services operating in Hackney and is a substantial reduction from Lime's usual London 60-minute pass price of £6.99. The lower rate is expected to come into effect soon. Lime and Voi will share part of the revenue with Hackney Council, directing funds back into the borough. Voi offers concessions for non-residents, including day, week, and month passes and an equitable access programme. Nearby Hounslow recently banned Lime over pavement clutter and reassigned contracts to Forest and Voi.
