Between January and June 2025, 23,819 crimes were reported across TfL services, an increase of 300 incidents from the same period in 2024. More than half (12,416) occurred on the tube, which has the highest crime rate among TfL services. Passenger numbers dipped by 1.7 percent while overall crime rose 1.3 percent. Robbery, primarily pickpocketing, constituted nearly half of all offences, though targeted policing reduced thefts by almost 19 percent year-on-year. The Central line had the most offences (1,069), followed by the Northern (1,063) and Piccadilly (818). King's Cross recorded the most station incidents (230).

New data from Transport for London shows crime is creeping up on tube, Overground and bus services - and some lines and stations are sketchier than others.
