Sold-out Queen Elizabeth II fashion exhibition extended into 2027
The Queen Elizabeth II fashion exhibition at the King’s Gallery has sold out and has been extended by six months to meet demand. The exhibition was originally scheduled to close on 18 October 2026, and will now run until 18 April 2027, with tickets on sale. The show is expected to become the most visited exhibition in the history of the Royal Collection Trust. It traces the evolution of Queen Elizabeth II’s style using more than 300 items from her personal fashion archive held in the Royal Collection. The Royal Collection director described the response as unprecedented and said the extension will allow more visitors from the UK and overseas. An accompanying book has been reprinted, and additional retail and online content has been released. Visitors are advised to book well in advance because demand remains high, and ticket prices are expected to increase in 2027.
"The Queen Elizabeth II fashion exhibition at the King's Gallery has completely sold out, so the gallery has announced it has been extended for an extra six months to cope with demand. Originally due to close on 18th October 2026, the exhibition will now run until 18th April 2027, with tickets now on sale."
"The exhibition is expected to become the most-visited show in the history of the Royal Collection Trust, tracing the evolution of Queen Elizabeth II's style through more than 300 items from her personal fashion archive, now held in the Royal Collection. Tim Knox, Director of the Royal Collection, said the response had been "unprecedented", adding that the extension would allow more visitors from the UK and overseas to experience "this once-in-a-generation tribute to Queen Elizabeth II's life and legacy"."
"The exhibition's accompanying book, Queen Elizabeth II: Fashion and Style, has also proved so popular it has already been reprinted, alongside a wider centenary retail range and programme of online talks and behind-the-scenes films exploring the late Queen's wardrobe and fashion archive. Visitors are being advised to book well in advance due to continuing high demand."
"If you want to book tickets, go here, but when looking for dates, you need to click through to October at the earliest to get tickets. Also, be aware that the ticket prices will go up in 2027, so book tickets for this year to save a bit of money. The exhibition, Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style, is at the King's Gallery (next to Buckingham Palace) until 18th April 2027."
