Popular American homeware chain Pottery Barn has launched its first-ever UK shop in London
"Since opening in 1946, Pottery Barn has developed near-mythic status as a place to furnish homes. The bougie chain is renowned for combining antique aesthetics with boho styles, from collections of plaid plating and comfy country style sofas to wicker baskets to store various trinkets. Pottery Barn has remained one of the most popular furnishing brands in the US. Most Americans will recognise Pottery Barn from a parent's magazine collections or shopping malls."
"Despite its popularity, however, the furniture shop has never made its way across the pond - until now. Pottery Barn has launched a website for the UK, and it will open its first ever British physical outlet here in London. The brand is hosting a pop-up in West Elm's store on Tottenham Court Road, which will be open to shoppers throughout October."
Pottery Barn launched in 1946 and gained near-mythic status as a home furnishing destination known for blending antique aesthetics with boho styles. Signature offerings include plaid tableware, country-style sofas and wicker storage pieces, and the brand remains highly popular in the US. Pottery Barn has opened a UK website and will open its first British physical outlet as a pop-up inside West Elm on Tottenham Court Road, London, throughout October. The pop-up will present an autumn collection described as whimsical woodland prints grounded in autumnal greens and checked patterns. The chain will also launch in John Lewis stores later this year, with online shopping available for non-London customers.
