Person rescued as fire breaks out in flat in Maida Vale

A fire erupted in a flat on Harrow Road in Maida Vale, prompting the response of six fire engines and approximately 40 firefighters at 11:10 AM. The fire, located on the third floor of a terraced building with a shop on the ground level, resulted in the rescue of one individual by firefighters using breathing apparatus. Emergency services provided treatment on-site. By 11:37 AM, firefighters had contained the blaze. Additionally, Harrow Road was blocked between Great Western Road and Fermoy Road during the incident.
Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters responded to a fire on the third floor of a terraced building on Harrow Road in Maida Vale.
Firefighters rescued one person wearing breathing apparatus and treated them at the scene with assistance from London Ambulance Service crews.
The Brigade received the emergency call at 11.10am and had the situation under control by 11.37am.
Harrow Road was blocked between Great Western Road and Fermoy Road due to the firefighting efforts.
