Two London Ambulance Service workers described a terrifying experience where a drunk patient turned aggressive, attacking their ambulance with bricks and breaking their windscreen. The incident, described as feeling like a horror film, involved a prolonged assault on the medics as they tried to provide help. Chief paramedic Pauline Cranmer highlighted the disturbing rise in such assaults on emergency workers. The attacker, Seiitbek Uulu, faced charges for his violent actions while the medics were left feeling trapped and in disbelief during the ordeal.
It felt like a horror film, as it went quiet, but then suddenly he was punching the windows and throwing bricks and concrete trying to hit us.
My crewmate got out to help him look for it but then I heard the emergency button go off and I knew he was in trouble.
