"Running all day on Saturday 7th March, the unusual London Overground service between London Bridge and West Croydon is needed because TfL engineering works are closing the Windrush line north of New Cross Gate. Therefore, on Saturday only, between 7am and 10pm, a special train service will operate between London Bridge and West Croydon, calling at New Cross Gate and all stations."
"Although it's not the first time they've done this, it's rare enough to be noteworthy for the track bashers out there and people who like to do things that are a little bit different. For one day, it will be possible to catch a London Overground train from a station they would not usually be seen at."
On Saturday 7th March, London Overground will run an unusual service between London Bridge and West Croydon from 7am to 10pm, calling at New Cross Gate and all intermediate stations. This diversion is necessary because TfL engineering works are closing the Windrush line north of New Cross Gate for the weekend. Passengers can change at Sydenham for Southern services to Crystal Palace. Departures from London Bridge occur at 5 and 35 minutes past each hour, while West Croydon departures are at 25 and 55 minutes past. On Sunday, normal service resumes between New Cross Gate and West Croydon/Crystal Palace only. This rare occurrence allows London Overground trains to call at London Bridge, a station they do not typically serve.
