Items found near Israeli embassy are non-hazardous, police say
"Counter-terrorism officers are continuing to investigate a video posted to social media on Friday claiming the embassy was going to be attacked with drones carrying 'dangerous substances'."
"The social media video appeared to have been posted by Iran-linked Islamist group Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamia, showing a target over an image of the embassy."
"Cdr Helen Flanagan, of Counter Terrorism Policing London, said: 'We recognise this incident and consequent police activity may have caused concern among local residents and the wider public.'"
The Metropolitan Police confirmed that suspicious items found near the Israeli embassy in London were non-hazardous. A video claiming an attack using drones was linked to an Iran-linked group. The embassy staff were safe, and Kensington Gardens was temporarily closed for investigation. The items included two jars with a powdered substance, which were assessed by specialist officers. Police have not connected this incident to any other attacks, and local residents were thanked for their understanding during the police activity.
