A tourist visiting the Henbury meteorite crater in the Northern Territory fell into a collapsed long-drop toilet, becoming stranded waist-deep in excrement for three hours. The incident occurred when the toilet structure fell into the sewage pit. A tradesman passing by helped rescue her by lowering a tow rope, allowing her to be lifted out with his car. The woman suffered minor cuts and was understandably shaken but was otherwise unharmed after the ordeal.
