Huge fire erupts at electrical substation in west London as smoke billows into the sky

A large fire broke out at an electrical substation on Victoria Passage in Westminster, northwest London, early today, creating heavy smoke visible across the area. Two fire engines and around ten firefighters were dispatched at 5.29 am to combat the blaze. Station Commander Paul Morgan confirmed the fire's visibility and advised residents to close their windows and doors. The fire brigade received approximately 73 calls regarding the incident. The cause of the fire is currently unknown, and firefighting efforts are ongoing as they seek to extinguish the flames.
Residents in the area have been advised to keep their doors and windows closed due to the considerable amount of smoke rising from the fire.
