Following years of restoration, the North Wing of Barts Hospital, built in the early 1730s, is set to open to the public on October 6, 2025. The Grade I listed building was in poor condition by 2020, prompting the establishment of Barts Heritage for fundraising efforts. A £4.9 million grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund facilitated the restoration. The North Wing will provide free public access every Monday and Tuesday, as well as the first Sunday of each month, with optional paid guided tours available.
