Back with a bang: Blackheath Fireworks set to host up to 30,000 people in November after six-year absence
Briefly

Blackheath Fireworks will return in November after a six-year hiatus with a one-day weekend event planned annually between the last week of October and the second weekend of November. Slammin Events has applied for a premises licence to host up to 29,999 attendees and will present plans to the council licensing sub-committee on August 27. The council has set this year’s date for Saturday, November 1, 4pm–10:30pm, with ticketed entry. Reported ticket prices are around £15 for over-16s and £5–£10 for children. The event will include a major fireworks display, on-site entertainment and market stalls and aims for accessibility and affordability.
Up to 30,000 people could be set attend Blackheath Fireworks when the even returns to south-east London after a six-year hiatus in November. An events company in charge of the fireworks display at Alexandra Palace has applied for a premises licence application so it can host the spectacle. However Slammin Events, a private company responsible for the Alexandra Palace Fireworks, is behind the plans that have been submitted and will be presented to the council's licensing sub-committee at a meeting next week (August 27).
We know residents have to leave Lewisham each autumn to seek firework displays elsewhere in London and have been eager to find a way to bring back the Blackheath Fireworks. Now our residents can enjoy fireworks here at home in the Borough and invite visitors to join. We're excited to partner with a leading events company to make this happen and are committed to making this return as accessible and affordable as we can.
