A new London skyscraper will be the tallest tower in Canary Wharf
"London has been a trading and financial hub for more than a thousand years, and maintaining it as a vibrant place for finance and business is critical to the health of the UK economy."
"This building will represent our lasting commitment to the city, the UK, our clients and our people."
JP Morgan Chase is set to construct Britain's largest office block in Canary Wharf, costing £3 billion. The skyscraper will serve as the bank's UK headquarters, accommodating 12,000 employees in a three million square-foot building. The project has received approval from London City Airport due to safety regulations. The new headquarters will be taller than One Canada Square and is expected to generate 8,000 construction jobs while contributing £10 billion to the UK economy over six years.
