Referee should've been nowhere near game - Manning
Briefly

Bristol City head coach Liam Manning expressed strong dissatisfaction with referee Oliver Langford's officiating during their play-off semi-final tie against Sheffield United. Langford sent off defender Rob Dickie for a foul leading to a penalty that contributed to Bristol City's 3-0 defeat. Manning highlighted Langford's troubling history, noting six red cards over recent games, and insisted concerns about his ability to officiate had been raised before the match. The Professional Game Match Officials Board did not respond to Manning's comments, though they referenced their referee appointment policy.
Manning stated, "A referee was put in charge of a game he should be nowhere near. We called this week to flag our concerns with him doing it."
Regarding the red card, Manning asserted, "It's almost like [Langford] can't wait to get [the card] out" stating that Dickie attempted to play the ball.
Langford has issued six red cards in the past 12 games he has officiated, highlighting concerns about his officiating in Bristol City matches.
Manning emphasized, "The only reason it should be a red if there's no attempt to play the ball," indicating misjudgment on Langford's part.
