Fionnuala Jones, a podcaster and television presenter from Dublin, shares her unique experience of supporting two soccer teams: Cobh Ramblers and Bohemians. Living in Dublin with her fiancé Cian, who supports Bohs, she reflects on the challenges and joys of being a part of both teams' fanbases. Their visit to a UEFA Europa Conference League match during the pandemic marked a significant moment, symbolizing a return to normalcy as they enjoyed witnessing Bohs claim a 3-0 victory, alongside other fans at Aviva Stadium.
My soccer alliances are now split between Cobh Ramblers and Bohemians. My fiancé Cian supports Bohs, so I've been dragged to my fair share of games in Dalymount Park.
In 2021, during the pandemic, we went to one match in the Aviva Stadium. Bohs were playing a UEFA Europa Conference League match against an Icelandic team, Stjarnan FC, and they won 3-0.
It was really kind of a time where things were starting to feel like they were getting back to 'normal', post pandemic.
