Acknowledging Dublin's reputation, the manager noted that although Wicklow could not compete on that level, their determination showcased their character and teamwork, which was commendable in the face of such a formidable opponent.
Not surprisingly, defeat was our lot but while we went under, to my mind my Wicklow played with spirit and courage throughout.
There was never any real prospect that we were going to put a dent in the Dubs' formidable reputation but I was proud of the spirit that my team showed.
