Millwall faced a £45,000 fine from the Football Association for abusive chanting containing disability references during their Carabao Cup tie against Crystal Palace on 16 September. The club admitted to the charge related to chanting in the 11th minute but denied a second charge in the 80th minute, which the regulatory commission could not prove. This represents the third disciplinary breach for the Championship club within three years. Their previously imposed action plan was extended through the 2026-27 season. Prior sanctions included a fine in October 2023 for religious abuse toward James McClean and a £15,000 fine in June 2024 for homophobic chants directed at Ben Chilwell. The FA noted Millwall's disciplinary record as "very poor and a matter for serious concern."
